Just to let you all know why the page has been quiet, my computer crashed for the fourth time last month, and with that i’d lost some edited works, I still hadn’t by that point managed to get a backup system sorted, but after that crash, I thought it was high time I made the effort to solve that. I have built a new computer and also invested in a backup system, along with a cloud service as well. So once all these are up and running, and files are found, I’ll be able to post and print again. It won’t be much longer I hope. But here is an image I’d taken late last year which feels like what this computer scenario has been.
I’m down in the Larne Market yard this Saturday for a short but busy market, These two images are from Carindhu House showing the very beautiful grand and ornate staircase (Which unfortunately no longer exists) The house does but, this is in a very dangerous state. Do call by and see us, I’ve also other pieces capturing the lives we’ve left behind and also the world we live in now. Market is open from 1pm till 4pm.
Two excellent markets this weekend which i’m attending, on Saturday is the Coleraine Speciality market, then on the Sunday I’m in Bushmills for the Salmon & whiskey Festival, both markets have at least 45+ traders who all make, grown and produce their own products. And we all love what we do. So if your about this weekend do come and support us by staying local and shopping local. I’ll have a few new additions added to the portfolio, each one with a unique story. You can find me outside Superdrug on Saturday, and in Area 1 on Sunday.
This shot is from a recent site I visited in the past few weeks showing the inside of Hope Castle which was fire damaged many years before, as soon as i saw the staircase and archway I instantly thought of what a twisted person who would bring so much damage to a beautiful building. The song from The Prodigy was running through my mind as i was composing this image, to which the title i thought was very apt.
This shot is now available as a 12 x 12 fine art print £30.
Contact me for postage price or come along to any of the markets that i attend.
I’ll be here for the full three days of market along with many other artisans and foodies, there’s also many activities over the week both here in Ballycastle and also on Rathlin, just check the programme for details of everything thats on. I’ll also have a few new prints added to the fine art collection. So looking forward to seeing you at some point over the three days.
Two brilliant markets to be at this weekend, first one at ballycastle seafront (Sunday) with nearly 60 stalls of Artisans and foodies, I can’t believe it’s now seven years that this market has been going and it’s growing every year, not only in numbers but also us as artists/foodies.
Monday we will be at Cushendun for their big arts weekend outside Glenmona House. It’s a beautiful house and setting, perfect for a market, tho slightly smaller but still packed with various Arts Crafts and Food. Perfect place to call into, either or even better both.
I’m there on both days with my new range of fine art. Hope to see you there.
This was from my two visits, once in 2015 and again in 2016, and I also visited inside the Powerplant (2015 trip) even up to the wall of reactor 4, (middle picture) which was at least a metre thick in concrete and still the geiger was sounding off, it shows the memorial of one of the men that was killed instantly when the reactor exploded. The last picture shows the inside of reactor control room 2 which is identical to the destroyed control room 4.Read More
