A Collection Of My Favourite Images

I don't normally do reviews on products but when I saw a chance of presenting some of my images in a book in exchange for a review, I thought why not. I felt I had enough images to put together a book so I applied for a voucher from Saal Digital UK and a few days later was successful. I'd managed to get a £100 voucher for one of the Professional line photobooks. Happy days. I downloaded their software and after a little time getting to grips with layouts and site format I was ready to begin.

I thought at first this will be easy. Well it is but if people know me I spend a lot of time mulling over my images before posting or printing them. It was that case for this book, what is good enough and what I like to show. So off I went in search of potential images for this book. I found the my most favourite ones from my first to my most recent and brought them into a folder, this way it made putting the book together easier.

The book I finally choose was the 30x30 matt paper layout with leatherette cover as I have many square format images and that would suit my work better. At first when spreading images across two pages, I was worried about what would disappear in the gutter of the book, but this wasn't the case with this style of lay-flat book. You'd hardly notice when it was opened.

I managed to squeeze in over 60+ images into 72 pages and also included both panels for my letters at the back, this was coming together as a collection of my favourite images I've shot over the past 13 years of capturing the lives we've left behind before they disappear.

As the deadline of the voucher was looming I did panic slightly as I'd kept adding pages to cram as much in, as I could but it did get to the stage where I had to stop, check what I had and send. The wait didn't take that long from print to sending (bar a slight delay in postal services, as expected) but within no time at all a well packaged book arrived.

WOW.......

I did a video as you can see but really it doesn't do it justice as it looks and feels amazing. Totally blown away and this exceeded my expectations on how a quality book looks as for the price this would cost me just under £140 for 72 pages and postage. I can definitely recommend Saal Digital UK for their high quality and efficient service.

Thankyou Saal Digital UK
